When my mom goes grocery shopping he prefers to buy the least fancy things.
She even brings his coupons with his to get cash off.
She will save at least fifty dollars every time he goes to the store. My Mom and I call his the bargain shopper, however his cash saving ways have rubbed off both of us. However there are some things that my mom buys that I will tell his to not buy again. She bought cheap knock off oreo’s that tasted like plastic. The motto is true, “you get what you pay for.” My mom has done this various times where she’ll buy cheap food and it’ll not taste nice or the ingredients are twice as bad for you as the normal brand. The other morning my mom went to the store and I helped his unload his car. She bought cheap toilet paper that I’m sure has plugged up our pipes. These past few months we’ve had to use the plunger for our toilets because randomly our toilets won’t flush. Because the toilet paper is legitimately cheap my mom thinks it’s a smart idea to buy it. However it isn’t a nice idea because the toilet paper is legitimately thick. I don’t suppose our septic tank can split it down that fast or legitimately easily. My Mom and I have told my mom that just because something is cheap, it doesn’t mean that it’s the greatest purchase, it may be doing more harm than absolutely good.
