When I told my wife that I would love her forever I actually meant it.

I know that a lot of people don’t have the same sentiment when they walk down the aisle. A lot of folks seem to be interested in having a cool party rather than the lifelong aftermath of living with somebody or starting a family. Personally, I have done everything in my power to make sure that my marriage survives. Recently, that even included a massive heating, cooling, and air quality control upgrade. You see, it was clear that my wife and I were not getting along recently because of the indoor air quality. When the hot and humid temperatures rolled into our area this summer we started having a lot of fights over the energy bill and indoor temperature. Nobody enjoyed running the heating and cooling system all the time but it was impossible to feel comfortable without the AC unit chugging away in the background. Our energy bills were climbing through the roof and we were having a lot of squabbles over these utilities. Finally, I decided to put an end to the ongoing battle for HVAC equipment. Rather than fighting over energy expenditure I decided to cut it. I had a geothermal heat pump installed in our house so that we can use passive energy to make our indoor air comfortable. Now there is no energy bill to worry about. Our fights have completely stopped and I feel confident in the duration of our marriage.
