Doom & gloom friend goes overboard with Heating, Ventilation, & A/C

I easily enjoy my best friend, however she’s one of those humans who preferentially panics! She cares about to feed her brain the most scary information possible & then ruminate over all of the danger she feels; Unblessedly, as one of the only people that she speaks to, I hear a lot of doom & gloom from my buddy.

I always do my best to balance out her pessimism with realistic optimism, however sporadically I get too worn down! Recently, this has been the case when we have been talking about indoor air quality & immune system health.

I made the mistake of mentioning to my pal that your indoor air quality is directly connected to your overall immune system & respiratory health; Of course, she started looking at scary articles online about airborne contaminants, immunosuppressants, & the direct connect between awful Heating, Ventilation, & A/C component & coronavirus. I doubt that these articles are highly reputable, but she is now obsessed with indoor air quality… Everyday she has been telling me about new air filters that she’s found, new whole-home air purifiers that are on the market, & even UV lights that disinfect your indoor air. I am cheerful that she is taking her respiratory health seriously & improving her indoor air quality overall, but I worry about her ability to fund these Heating, Ventilation, & A/C upgrades. It seems like she has the local Heating, Ventilation, & A/C worker at her home every other week to install a new piece of air handling equipment. I have a feeling that once this pandemic passes, she will be desperately complaining about the luxurious heating & cooling debt that she has racked up.
