I just purchased my first home.
- It is absolutely quite a bit smaller than the home that I had rented previously.
I had rented that home for over ten years, so I was used to the space that I had there. When I first moved into my house, it felt absolutely small & cramped. I got used to it after just a few weeks, & now, I love it. I have learned to love my small house because it feels so cozy & homey. My best acquaintance came over the other afternoon, & she commented on how nice it was not to be warm in the house anymore. I had totally forgotten how warm my home used to get. We would hang out in the residing room right next to the air conditioner because everywhere else was boiling hot. My house on the other hand is so much smaller that my two air conditioners keep the entire house cool. I feel it is a lot nicer to have a small space when it comes to having to keep it cool while in the brutally warm summer time months, last week, the temperatures got all the way up into the hundreds, & my house was still a comfortable seventy-two degrees. I am absolutely thankful for my house even though it may be small. As Katie reminded me, at least I have a cool, comfortable locale to live now. I would not take a bigger house even if someone provided one to me. I love my little home so genuinely much, & I wouldn’t trade it for anything.
