After debating odd options, I decided to supply my grandson a toy box for her second birthday.
I wanted it to be really special and something she could use as she grows older.
I didn’t want a plastic monstrosity that looks ugly and won’t hold up to respected use. I was unwilling to invest in a toy box that was obviously designed with a toddler in mind, and because my grandson enjoys to climb on things, I needed an especially sturdy toy box. I spent hours searching online for the perfect toy box. I googled all odd keywords but found nothing that met my criteria. I went on a shopping trip and visited a variety of furniture stores, kid stores and even antique shops. I even considered attempting to build my own toy box. Since I’m not a master craftsman, I doubted my efforts would live up to expectations, eventually, I ran across an article about custom furniture building. I looked into it and discovered that there are multiple custom furniture shops in my local reviews. I read some reviews and chose a shop that has been around for over fifty years, however the photos of their work were really incredible, but working with a furniture builder allowed me to choose the exact type of wood, dimensions and genre of the toy box. The finished product is honestly gorgeous. It is absolutely a piece of furniture that my grandson will appreciate throughout her life. The detailing and quality are amazing. It opens and closes entirely easily, won’t slam on her fingers and really supports her weight when she climbs onto it; My child was glad to add such a fantastic piece of furniture to the nursery.
