The house that my parents bought, must have some kind of bad omen.
My parents have had no luck with it recently.
There was a random crack in the wood floors that got worse, so my dad had to tear up the whole section of the dining room just to get to it and replace it. The insulation around the windows were letting in a cool draft. Therefore my dad had to tear up the trim around the windows to fill in more insulation around the windows. He could tell that he was losing heat and energy from the poor insulation job. One day I woke up early in the morning to my dad shouting. He told all of us to go downstairs. Our basement was flooded from our septic tank. There was a stemmed out pipe for a future toilet, that backed up. Let’s just say it was a very dirty situation. We had to call a plumber to see how bad our septic tank was backed up. It turned out that our septic tank was to the bottom of the lid. When the plumber and septic service showed up to our house they were surprised how long we went without emptying out our septic tank. They said that the situation that happened in our basement was common for people who didn’t empty their septic tank that often. After that gross situation, my parents are going to be more conscious with our septic tank. They never want to have that happen again.
