Hot concert

It felt like trying to breathe in hot, sweaty air that had already passed through several lungs.

If you’re anything like me, you are ready for the weather to change. I feel like it’s been summer for two years now. I can’t remember the last time we had a day that wasn’t swelteringly hot and Incredibly human. Hell, I can’t remember the last time I saw clouds. For the past six months it’s been endless sunshine, heat and humidity all day long. For a while this kind of weather feels nice and I flock to spending my time out in the sunshine. However, after six months of this I’m ready for some cool relief from the unending Heat. That’s why I wasn’t super excited when we wound up at the hottest concert I can remember. We went out to a local rock venue and we’re feeling pretty good. Walking into the venue, the night air was quite cool and refreshing. we checked our tickets and got inside the door, only to be hit by a wall of hot and sticky are emanating from inside the concert hall. The crowd had clearly worked out a bit of heat in the mosh pit, and it was lingering throughout the entire concert space. It felt like trying to breathe in hot, sweaty air that had already passed through several lungs. We tried going to the top balcony, thinking that there would be better access to air conditioning vents up there. However, it was only hotter. We tried hanging out near the bars hoping that there would be extra ventilation for the staff, but it was just as hot near the beverages. After a few hours of sweating no matter where we stood, we walked back out into the cold and refreshing night there.
